Mallory Gevertz
Community Prevention Coordinator, Johnson County Mental Health Center
Mallory implements evidence-based programs throughout the community on the topics of suicide prevention, substance use prevention, and mental health promotion. She is the Chair of the Johnson County Suicide Prevention Coalition, and leadership team member of the Johnson County Prevention and Recovery Coalition. She is certified to facilitate Strengthening Families Program, QPR (Question, Persuade, Refer), and EAL (Everyone a Leader). Mallory also promotes and coordinates Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST).
Mallory has worked for Johnson County for 10 years – 3 years with the Department of Corrections and 5 with Johnson County Mental Health Center. She has a Bachelor’s Degree from Pittsburg State University in Justice Studies and Sociology.
