Nancy’s professional passion is to help organizations build strong brands, develop dynamic messaging strategies and see communications as an integral driver of success. Nancy has led brand communications and public relations efforts for a range of organizations, from iconic companies to local government.
Nancy has served as the lead communications and public relations executive for such brands as H&R Block and Applebee’s. She has extensive experience in crisis management, internal communications, executive messaging, social media and media relations.
Her specialty is building a thriving, consistent brand through all touchpoints, starting with employees. Nancy is particularly adept at creating a cohesive messaging strategy that aligns with an organization’s goals.
Her background includes extensive experience as a reporter and writer. Nancy is an adjunct professor at the William Allen White School of Journalism at the University of Kansas, where she teaches messaging strategy, writing and strategic communications.
She has a Bachelor’s of Science in Journalism and a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish Literature from the University of Kansas. She earned her MFA in creative writing and media arts from the University of Missouri-Kansas City.
